Jeannette Samanen, Ph.D. "I believe that everyone has within themselves the resources they need to achieve their goals. My most important role as your coach is to help you discover these inner resources and learn how to dependably use them to bring about and sustain positive change in your life." |
BIO AND PERSONAL STATEMENTWhen I consider my 30 years of experience as a psychologist and life coach, the most salient factor that emerges is the deep satisfaction I derive from helping my clients transform their lives for the better. I feel privileged to participate in a process that empowers people to become more than they imagined they could be. I am delighted to share the work I love most with clients I care about. My professional development began with graduate school at the University of Oregon, where I earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1978. My first post-doctoral position was at the Boston University School of Medicine where, as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (Psychology), I specialized in stress management and behavioral medicine including relaxation training, hypnotherapy and biofeedback. As a life coach, I use three very powerful and effective tools to help individuals and groups achieve personal and professional transformation: Solution Focused Life Coaching, Intuition Training, and Interactive Imagery. This approach draws on both the rational left side of the brain and the intuitive right brain. My work is set apart from that of other coaches by this whole brain approach, plus my eagerness to share with you the gift of learning to discover your own guidance within. My work is based on the conviction that everyone has the inner wisdom and strength needed to achieve their goals. My most important role as your life coach is to help you discover this inner wisdom and learn how to dependably use your inner resources to bring about positive change in your life. I consistently experience wonder and delight at the marvelous impact that Inner Wisdom Coaching has on the lives of my clients. You are invited to learn about the many ways my clients have benefited from this remarkable approach to life coaching in the Successes section of this website. I work out of my home in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania where I live with my husband, Jim, our son, Daniel, and our dog named Rosie. I am passionate about my family and friends, my garden and walks with Rosie in nearby Valley Forge Park. I love being active in the outdoors – hiking, canoeing, kayaking and skiing. I enjoy the creativity of working with clay and beads and gain great satisfaction from travel to new and interesting places. I have participated in a number of life coaching trainings that have informed and enhanced the work I do. Some of these are listed below: TRAININGS
