SUCCESSES - Improved Leadership Skills lead to promotionA regional Director of International Marketing in a manufacturing company used career coaching to better handle her boss, improve her leadership skills and earn a much sought after promotion. SITUATIONA regional Director, Paula was eager to advance into Corporate. Several things stood in the way of achieving her goal. Her relationship with her manager was a source of serious concern. Paula's discomfort with her manager's unpredictability and negativity often left her anxious and ineffective in his presence. Her difficulty approaching her boss made it difficult for Paula to gain clarity on just how she was viewed and what her opportunities for advancement really were.
